Bamboo Thanks--tgifc374

It's been a while but I am finally getting back to doing a TGIF Challenge after my own health challenges that have put lots of stuff on the back burner.  This week's challenge is a technique challenge:  Tone on Tone. I knew what I wanted to do once I saw this challenge.  It has been my plan to make this card since I purchased the Bamboo Beauty stamp set (#155478):

For my tone on tone look, I used 1st and 2nd generation stamping of Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive ink to create my bamboo forest background.  The greeting was created with the Amazing Thanks dies (#157816) out of Old Olive and Mossy Meadow card stock.  A card base of Basic White Thick card stock, a layer of Pear Pizzazz card stock and a double length of Linen Thread (#104199) tied in a bow complete this clean and simple design.

Hope you enjoyed my take on tone on tone. You can see more projects using this technique over at the TGIF Challenges Blog here.

Have a great weekend!  Happy 4th of July!

Creation Station March Hop--Rainbows Rearranged

Welcome to the March Creation Station Blog Hop!  So glad you have joined us today as we reimagine rainbows.  This is really going to be a fun hop.  Be sure and click on the "Next" link at the end of each design team member's post to see all of our rainbows rearranged.

The inspiration for my rearranged rainbows comes from the safety walls hiding construction on new attractions at Epcot in Disney World.  They were all painted black with random stripes of bright colors.  I kept both cards simple to let the design speak for itself.

The card stock strips on each card are 1/8" wide.  The colors used on the Basic Black card stock layer are Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point, Gorgeous Grape, Poppy Parade and Mango Melody.  The "Thanks" was die cut using the Amazing Thanks dies (#157816).

The card stock on the Basic White card stock layer are So Saffron, Soft Sea Foam, Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Blushing Bride and Calypso Coral.

I love how these came out--which is your favorite?

Your next stop on today's hop is Denita's blog.  I can't wait to see how she's rearranged her rainbows--just love her style!

Have a great week!
