Peaceful Season--#tgifc330

Sometimes all you need to make a beautiful card is a beautiful piece of designer series paper and a greeting.  My idea for this project was to add two stamped and die cut images and maybe some sequins or silver cord.  It was just too much. I wanted a peaceful feeling and that came from the paper and greeting alone.  So  I put away the extra "stuff":

The card is a 5-3/4" square with a Smoky Slate card base and a piece of designer series paper from the Peaceful Place collection (#156394).  The greeting is from the Peaceful Cabin stamp set (#156395).  It was stamped in Basic Gray directly on the paper using my Stamparatus (#146276).  This large card needed it's own handmade envelope created with white paper and a strip of another pattern from the Peaceful Place paper collection.

This card was made for this week's Inspiration Challenge from TGIF Challenges.  The inspiration is the July to December 2021 Mini Catalog.  If you need some inspiration for your recent Stampin' Up! purchases from this catalog, checkout the TGIF Challenges blog here.

Have a great week!

Gather Together--#tgifc329

I am ready for the cooler weather of Fall--who's with me!?! Since it is still very hot and rainy here and will probably be for some time, I decided to evoke the feeling of Fall with my project card for this week's TGIF Challenges sketch challenge:

The pumpkins image and greeting are from the Pretty Pumpkins stamp set (#156472) and were both stamped with Soft Suede onto Basic White card stock. The pumpkins were colored with Pumpkin Pie Dark, Cajun Craze Dark, Soft Suede Combo and Soft Succulent Combo Stampin' Blends. The pumpkins image was die cut using the coordinating Detailed Pumpkins Dies (#156477; bundled with the stamp set at 10% off, #156478).

The pumpkins are layered over a piece of Evening Evergreen Shimmer Vellum (2021-2023 In Color pack, #155616), die cut using a Painted Labels die (#151605).  The Crumb Cake layer was embossed using the checks pattern from the Checks & Dots Embossing Folder pack (#155432).  A card base of Evening Evergreen and a small bow of Linen Thread (#104199) complete the card.

Happy Birthday!--Color Challenge #tgifc328

It's color challenge week over at TGIF Challenges.  It's a fun challenge:  Coastal Cabana, Basic Black and White.  Here's my Happy Birthday card:

The happy card has a Coastal Cabana card base layered with Basic Black and a top layer of Basic White.  The flower and splatter images are from the Color & Contour stamp set (#154994).  The splatter was randomly stamped across the front in Coastal Cabana.  The flower was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  The petals were colored with the Coastal Cabana pastel from the Soft Pastels Assortment (#154585) and a barely damp a water painter (#151298, set of three assorted).  The center of the flower was colored with Basic Black Stampin' Blends Combo (#154843).  The flower was die cut using a Scalloped Contours die (#155560, bundled with the above stamp set at 10% off, #158356).  It was layered over a Basic Black floral stem using a die from the Forever Flourishing die set (#152714).

The greeting is from the Artistically Inked stamp set (#154542).  It was heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder (#155554, Basics Set) on a 5/8" Basic Black card stock strip.  A bow of Pool Party sheer ribbon (#152462) and  three Matte Black dots (#154284) complete the card.

Hello, Fall!--#tgifc327

Our bonus TGIF Challenges challenge from the fifth Friday of July is "Banners".  Since I am really tired of this hot, hot weather here, I thought I would be a little optimistic and welcome Fall with my banner:

I started my rustic looking card with the tree bark pattern from the Beauty of the Earth designer series paper pack (#155841).  It was embossed with the new Timber 3D embossing folder (#156406) then adhered over the entire card base front.  The banner flags were die cut using a Tasteful Labels die (#152886) and another patterned paper from the Beauty of the Earth paper pack.  The flags were strung together with Linen Thread (#104199) and adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The letters were die cut out of Early Espresso card stock using the Playful Alphabet dies (#152706).  The leaves were die cut out of Bumblebee, Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze and Cinnamon Cider card stock using two small dies from the new Intricate Leaves dies (#153565).  "Hello" was stamped in Bumblebee ink on Basic White card stock and fussy cut. The "hello" image is from the Biggest Wish stamp set (#155052).  Three new Brushed Metallic dots (#156506) complete the card.

Hope you enjoy a cooler August!

Creation Station August Hop--Sale-a-Brate Good Times

Hello!!!  Welcome to the Creation Station August Blog Hop!

This month our theme is Sale-a-Brate Good Times, which means you are getting a sneak peek at some of the great FREE products you can earn during the August-September Sale-a-Bration beginning August 3.  Be sure and click on the "NEXT" link at the end of each blog post to see all the fun projects we are creating with Sale-a-Bration FREE stuff!

My projects feature my top three Sale-a-Bration products:  the Be Dazzling 6" x 6" specialty paper (#156629) because it's sparkling champagne and I think it looks pretty with one of my favorite In Colors--Pale Papaya; the Beautifully Penned 12" x 12" designer series paper (#156630) because it is the black and white version of designs in another favorite, Hand-Penned designer series paper (#155499); and, last but not least,  the Summer Shadows Dies (#156618) because they coordinate with a stamp set that was at the top of my wish list and is now in my hands, Shaded Summer (#155783).

The three flowers on this card were die cut using Basic Black card stock for the flower base and Be Dazzling paper for the top layer.  Only the top layer of the two coordinating leaves dies was die cut using the Be Dazzling paper.  The flowers are layered over the Pale Papaya dotted paper from Hand-Penned and two black and white designs from Beautifully Penned.  The greeting is from the Shaded Summer stamp set.  It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Basic White and die cut using a Tasteful Labels die (#152886).  A Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewel (#151193) and a piece of Pale Papaya & White 1/2" ribbon (#155816) complete the card.

The floral image on this second card is from the Shaded Summer stamp set.  It was stamped in Smoky Slate on Basic White and colored with Pale Papaya, Daffodil Delight and Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends.  The image was die cut using the coordinating free dies and layered on a piece of black and white dotted paper from the Beautifully Penned paper pack.  This piece was die cut using a Stitched Rectangles die (#151820).  The greeting is from the stamp set and was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and die cut using a label die from the upcoming Pretty Pillowbox dies (#156321, available beginning August 3).  This piece was layered over a Mint Macaron striped design from the Hand-Penned paper pack and a bottom layer of another black and white design from Beautifully Penned. Three champagne rhinestones and a piece of Soft Succulent 3/8" open weave ribbon (#155780) complete the card.

Can't wait to see what sneak peeks Vicki Boucher has for us today!

Have a great August!
